Delete Your FreeHeadshot Account

Three ways to delete

1. In the app, on iPhone or Android: open the Account tab and tap Delete account and photos.
2. On the website: sign in at freeheadshot.org, open Account settings and use Delete account. You will be asked to type your email to confirm.
3. By email, without the app or the website: write to [email protected]from the email address on the account, with the subject “Delete my account”. Writing from that address is how we know the request is yours.

What is deleted

• Your account: the sign in and the profile (email, plan, credits).
• Every photo you uploaded and every headshot made from them, removed from our storage.
• Any photo you reported from the app, and on iPhone the record of the free headshot.

If our storage cannot confirm the photos are gone, the deletion stops and nothing is deleted, so we never tell you your photos are gone while they are still there. Try again a moment later, or write to us.

What is kept, and for how long

These are the same periods as the retention table in our privacy policy.

• Generation records (style, time, count, IP address, device identifier and the age bracket of the check). They contain no image and are no longer attached to an account. Kept until you ask us to delete them, because the one free set rule counts them.
• A deletion record: the email, how old the account was, its plan, how many sets it made, and the IP addresses and sessions it used. No image. Kept after the account is deleted, so a deleted account cannot be used to take the free set again.
• Payment records held by the store or payment company that took the money (Apple, Google Play or Freemius): 7 years, for tax and chargeback rules. We never see card numbers.
• On Android, a phone record: a one-way hash of the phone's Android ID and the date it took its free headshot. No name, email, photo or account. Kept so that each phone gets one free headshot.
• Server access logs (IP, browser, route): 30 days.
• Emails you sent to our support address: 3 years.
• Headshots you already downloaded or shared are on your devices and are yours. We cannot reach them.

How long it takes

From the app or the website it happens at once. By email we do it within 30 days and reply when it is done. A deleted account cannot be restored, and credits left on it are lost. Deleting does not refund a purchase; see the refund policy for that.
