Quick answer
FreeHeadshot is an app for iPhone (App Store) and Android (Google Play) that turns one selfie into professional headshots in about a minute. Your first headshot is free: the app makes three and you keep the one you like. After that, credit packs cost $9, $19 or $49 once, with no subscription. It uses the same account as freeheadshot.org, so photos and credits follow you between phone and website.

What the app does

- Pick a style. Corporate, LinkedIn, executive, editorial, old money, era looks and more. Switch the examples between man, woman or any to see each look on someone like you.
- Take or choose one selfie. The app checks it on your phone first: large enough, good light, sharp. If something is off, it says what before anything is sent.
- Wait about a minute. Iris, the camera, keeps you company while the three photos develop.
- Choose, save, share. Three prints come back every time. Save them to your photos, share them, or find them later in the gallery, on the phone or on the website.
What it costs
| Price | What you get | |
|---|---|---|
| First headshot | Free | The app makes three; you keep the one you like |
| Small pack | $9 once | 90 credits |
| Medium pack | $19 once | 300 credits |
| Large pack | $49 once | 900 credits |
One credit is one photo, so a set of three uses three credits. Packs are one time in app purchases through the App Store or Google Play, never a subscription. Prices can differ slightly by country because the stores set local prices.
The free first headshot is one per phone. That keeps the gift free for everyone instead of free for whoever makes the most accounts.
The app and the website share one account
Sign in with Apple, Google or an email code, and the same account works on freeheadshot.org. Photos you make on the phone appear in your gallery on the website and the other way round, and credits are shared too. If you prefer a bigger screen for choosing styles, start on the website and finish on the phone, or the reverse.
What the app keeps about you, and what it does not
- Your face, kept. The same rules as the website: your features, skin tone, age, hair, glasses and any religious head covering stay as they are in your selfie.
- Your data. The app asks only for what it needs to make and store your headshots. Our privacy policy has a section for the iPhone and Android apps, including crash reports.
- Delete any time. You can delete your account from inside the app or on the delete account page.
