Why we built these tools
The same five tasks come up over and over: resize a photo to the LinkedIn 400×400 circle, swap a busy background for a clean one, fix orange skin tones from tungsten lighting, crop a passport-correct head ratio, or just know whether the photo you're about to upload is any good. Every other tool that does this charges per image, paywalls the watermark, or asks for an email — for jobs that have effectively zero marginal cost.
We already had the canvas pipeline from the AI Studio. Open-sourcing the utility layer felt obvious — and the people who use the free tools eventually need a better headshot to feed them, which is when they try the Studio.

Are these tools actually free?
Yes — every tool on this page is free with no signup, no credit card, and no watermark. The paid product is the AI Headshot Studio ($9 to $49 one-time), not these utility tools.
Do you upload my photos to a server?
Most tools run entirely in your browser using the Canvas API and (where needed) WebAssembly — the image bytes never leave your device. A few AI-powered tools (background remover, identity checker, smart crop, glare remover) route through our private worker where each photo is processed in memory and never persisted to disk.
Which tool should I use first?
If you have a photo and just need it sized for a platform, start with the Profile Picture Resizer. If you don't know whether your photo is good enough, run the Headshot Quality Checker first — it scores lighting, sharpness, framing, resolution, and background in about 200 ms.
Are there tools specifically for photographers?
